Job: System Administrator

The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, maintenance and administration of systems, as well as the IT infrastructure that supports them.
It is up to this professional to create the most appropriate configuration for the needs of each company, always making a proper use of all available resources, not forgetting the different users.

In parallel, this professional will seek to conceive the appropriate measures for the maintenance of the means and conditions for the protection of the system and the information, as well as foreseeing new resources necessary for the full use of the system.

It is also part of the duties of the Systems Administrator to propose rules and access mechanisms for the different users and to define standards for safeguarding and recovering information in order to prevent high damage.

Main tasks:

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, software applications and all configurations;
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and the necessary equipment and programs;
• Diagnose equipment and program problems, perform data backup and recovery;
• Perform data backup and disaster recovery operations;
• Operate main consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, coordinate network access and usage;
• Provide technical support in the use of computer equipment and programs and in supporting users.
